DAES is a team of qualified experts originating from leading scientific institutes and reputable industrial groups.
Our team has been involved in many large-scale international projects and acquired valuable experience and knowledge. Our breadth and depth of experience allows us to support our clients and partners in the management and implementation of their engineering projects
Our added value is demonstrated through our skilled implementation of leading-edge tools and technologies (simulations and other digital technologies), along with our best practice project approaches for the benefit of various sectors such as watchmaking, transport, energy, etc…
I am the founder and one of the 3 associate directors of DAES. I was born and raised in the Geneva area; it was only natural that after my experience at CERN, I created my company in Geneva. Today I am an elected representative of a commune in the Greater Geneva area. My multiple functions bring me several perspectives and points of view on our region. DAES has 30 employees and we work mainly in the Lake Geneva - Rhône - Alpes region! I believe in the dynamism of our region and the progress we can bring with the talents that live here. While we are all impacted by COVID, I think we need to work on the challenges of tomorrow. I firmly believe in progress and in our expertise, which enables us to support structures and people in the management of ambitious projects, capable of positively impacting our society and moving it forward. So we are working for mobility, energy and human-tech, which are today's challenges, while rethinking the company of tomorrow.
After studying general mechanical/energy engineering followed by a specialization in nuclear engineering, I worked in French nuclear research facilities for twenty years, in multinational research institutes: - the CEA: nuclear research organization - IRSN (nuclear safety expertise institution) - The Institut Laue-Langevin in Grenoble (France): the most intense continuous neutron source in the world currently in operation. - ITER near Aix-en-Provence (France): the nuclear fusion research centre under construction - The European Spallation Source in Lund (Sweden): The future world-class pulsed neutron source The various activities I have been able to carry go from studies and design to the operational exploitation of a nuclear reactor, the supervision of nuclear operating teams or design/work projects for these installations. Thanks to family experience (my parents ran a furniture manufacturing company whose activities and management rocked my childhood) and because of my great difficulty in adapting to a hierarchical structure, I embarked, with two close colleagues from European Spallation Source, on the creation of an engineering company, in 2014: DAES. In 6 years of hard-work, I have taken on almost all the functions of a SME: sales, expertise provider, internal organization, recruitment, furniture assembly, communication, management, QA manager, housekeeping, research and finalization of R&D partnerships and strategic direction.
I enjoy working in creative, dynamic and international environments. My career in consulting and engineering has allowed me to take part in prestigious and exciting projects in all major industrial sectors: automotive, aeronautics, chemistry, pharmaceuticals, energy, as well as training (technical profiles). Why DAES? Democratizing the use of simulation tools to improve many (new) concepts makes sense. What I appreciate most in my daily work? The team spirit - a dynamic definitely centred on the human being. We build the Engineer 2.0, the one who breaks silos, who thinks outside the box!
After obtaining a BTS in Management Assistance, I worked as an administrative assistant in various fields of activity (medical analysis laboratory, real estate agency, notary's office, engineering design office). Following this great experience, I have assisted the administrator and a technician of a company specialized in the construction industry for 10 years.
DAES services were born from the ambition to provide high-level simulations supporting the research and development of industrial organizations that wish to bring continuous innovation to their sector.
